Over the last week you’ve been considering who you are in Christ – a holy and righteous one, deeply loved and accepted by God, no matter what you have done or what’s been done to you. But this new position in Christ and God’s perfect love for you don’t, on their own, mean that you will automatically become a mature, fruitful Christian and do all the things He has prepared for you. That’s down to the choices you make, and you make choices based on what you believe; what you really believe deep down inside, not necessarily what you think or say you believe.
In today’s session, we’re going to be looking at this crucial issue of what we believe – what faith is, who has it, what makes it effective, and how our faith in God can grow.
You may not have considered it before, but who do you think has more faith, a Christian, or an atheist? What about a Hindu or a Muslim? What about someone who “just doesn’t know”?
